Indies warm up INSIGHT 2007!
Janet Kiddle reports...
The stand looked magnificent, the logos of the individual consultants reflected the variety of Indies exhibiting and we all had a great time. Over the 2 days we had 33 Indies at the stand: 7 of them on both days with a wide range of expertise on offer.
Whilst visitor numbers seemed to be down on the last two years, this was probably due to the fact that there wasn’t a direct marketing show on at the same time as Insight. The ambient temperature was somewhat below what was expected - it was ffrreeezing! So much so that we had free tea and coffee vouchers for ourselves and clients. The second day was much warmer – in fact we were all too hot as we had dressed for cooler temperatures. At least most the visitors were forced to take off their coats so we didn’t have too much of a problem trying to work out whether they were exhibitors or visitors.
The 'Find a Consultant' feature on the new website was popular, with lovely photos of Indies. Our special Insight offer to new members also converted some enquirers and they could also fill in their applications on the stand.
It was also great to see many other Indies who came by – it is always great to put a face to a name!
Caroline Pakel-Dunlop is now taking over the organisation of Insight from me and in a role swop I am now taking over organising events with David Simmonds. I am sure that I will continue to exhibit it is so much fun!
Sorry no pictures this year!
